Traditional Metal Braces

Traditional metal braces use high-grade, stainless steel brackets and archwires to align the bite and shift the teeth into a healthy, beautiful alignment. These braces are a popular choice for children, teens and adults and are effective for treating a wide variety of complex orthodontic conditions.

Metal braces can treat mild to severe cases of crooked teeth, crowded teeth, gapped teeth, and misaligned bites (overbite, underbite, cross bite, open bite).

Patients who choose these braces can pick from a number of different colored rubber bands to add some spunk to their smile or opt for a sleek, monochromatic look—whatever your style is, you can design your smile the way you want!

Depending on the severity of the condition, traditional braces typically take anywhere from 12 to 24 months to complete treatment.

Clear (Ceramic) Braces

Clear braces are ideal for children, teens, and adults who want a beautiful smile without the appearance of metal braces. These clear braces use ceramic brackets, tooth-colored archwires, and clear rubber bands to create a less noticeable appearance than metal braces.

Clear braces are specially designed to ensure durability and comfort! The high-quality materials used in these braces don’t irritate the gums, and the ceramic brackets are rounded to minimize discomfort from sharp corners.

Most cases with clear braces take anywhere from 18 to 36 months to complete treatment.

Lingual Braces

Lingual braces are hidden behind the teeth and are therefore “invisible” when you smile. Lingual braces are 100% customized to match the shape of your teeth and therefore the metal appliances are created uniquely for you. Lingual braces are a very reasonable option for athletes, models, actors/actresses, musicians who play wind instruments, and adult professionals.

Self-Ligating Braces

Self-ligating braces are made from the same materials as traditional braces. However, self-ligating braces do not require the use of elastics, meaning fewer appointments and less friction being placed on the tooth. Self-ligating braces come with metal or clear (ceramic) brackets. They are the same size as metal braces but use a specialized clip in place of elastics to help the archwire guide teeth into place. The clip helps reduce the amount of pressure being placed on the tooth and requires fewer adjustments because there are no elastics to replace.
